Children’s Chorus of Springfield is a premier, auditioned treble choir for ages 6-13 & a mixed choir for ages 14-18.
Audition Details
6-9 years old
Sing a Major Scale (neutral vowel, solfege or numbers) with piano. Will do low and high keys to determine voice range.
Echo Sing (repeat back what is sung to you)
Rhythm Clap (echo heard rhythm)
Sing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” (a Capella)
10-18 years old
Sing a Major Scale (neutral vowel, solfege or numbers) a Capella. Will do low and high keys to determine voice range.
Tonal Memories (echo sing what you hear played on the piano).
Rhythm Clap (4 measures written rhythm: whole, half, quarter & eighth notes).
Sing first line of “Dona Nobis Pacem” a Capella twice. First time as a solo, second time in a round. View it here.
