Krista J. Smith: Director/Instructor
Krista Smith graduated from Evangel University in 1997 with a Vocal and Instrumental Music Education Degree. From 1997-2007 she was the Choral Director at Logan-Rogersville High School where she taught elementary music, middle school vocal music, high school vocal music, and directed full scale musical theatre productions. Musicals directed were “The Wizard of Oz,” “The Music Man,” “Annie,” “Cinderella,” “The Sound of Music,” “Bye, Bye Birdie,” “Hello Dolly,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” and “Beauty & the Beast.” In the summer of 2006 she opened The Music Studio, LLC in Rogersville, Missouri where she gives private instruction in voice, piano, and instruments. She is also the Choir Director for the Sing His Praises Choirs (Springfield, Mo) and the Lebanon Homeschool Choirs.
Honors Include:
Pi Kappa Lambda (music), Who’s Who in American Education, Who’s Who in American Women, National Honor Roll’s Outstanding American Teachers, and two performances at Carnegie Hall, New York: 1996 with the Evangel University Concert Choir and 2004 with the Logan-Rogersville High School Varsity Choir.

Taylor Griggs: Dance Instructor
Since the age of 5, Taylor Griggs has had a passion for dance which has grown and flourished throughout her life. She has experience in ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical, hip hop, salsa, turns, jump & tricks, pointe and aerobics. During her many years of training, she competed with junior and senior dance companies while traveling nation-wide. Since 2001, Taylor has taught students of all ages all categories of dance. She has been a middle and high school dance choreographer for Varsity Cheer for the Sparta School District, a full-time teacher and competitive choreographer at Attitude Performing Arts, as well as a group and solo dancer in evening opening performances in Branson, Missouri. Taylor has also owned and run her own dance studio. For each student, she eagerly desires to establish the skills, techniques and passion it takes to become a dancer or performer in the fine arts.

Sam Risaliti: Guitar Instructor
Sam brings many years of experience and a passion for music to each student he teaches. He has taught at The Music Studio since 2008. Sam specializes in electric, acoustic and bass guitar lessons for all ages and experience levels.

Berea Flatness: Choreographer
Berea Flatness is a sophomore at Missouri State University double majoring in dance and Art and Design. She has been a student at Springfield Ballet for 14 years. Berea has appeared in various productions at Springfield Ballet such as Cinderella, Coppelia, Sleeping Beauty, La Bayadere, La Fille Mal Gardee, Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake, Anti-Congruence, A Special Place, Pas de Quatre, Clumsy Plunge, and Ballet Tango. She has performed in several productions at Landers Theater and Logan-Rogersville High School including South Pacific, Carousel, Annie, Peter Pan, Bye Bye Birdie, Hello Dolly, Fiddler on the Roof, Beauty and the Beast, and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. She was given the opportunity to choreograph Fiddler on the Roof and co-choreograph Beauty and the Beast and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers at Logan-Rogersville High School. Berea was awarded a scholarship to attend the Missouri Fine Arts Academy at M.S.U. for dance in the summer of 2005. Berea is currently an instructor at Springfield Ballet and has taught dance for the Community Center of Springfield. For the past two summers she has choreographed for Rogersville’s Musical Mania camp.
